The 8th International Conference on Magnesium (ICM 8) & the 13th International Conference on Magnesium Alloys and their Applications (Mg 2024) will be co-held from Nov. 2nd to 6th, 2024 in Chongqing, China. Since the 1st International Conference on Magnesium was held in Beijing in 2003, ICM conferences were held in Beijing (2005), Qingdao (2008, 2011, and 2013), Shenyang (2017), Shenyang, Chongqing and online (2020). Since the 1st International Conference on Magnesium Alloys and their Applications was held in 1986 in London, the conferences have been held in many famous places of the world, including Weimar in Germany in 2009, Vancouver in Canada in 2012, Jeju Island in South Korea in 2015, London in United Kingdom in 2018, Online in 2021, etc..
The ICM8 & Mg2024 aims to further promote the understanding, development and applications of magnesium and its alloys. The ICM8 & Mg2024 will be hosted by International MgSociety (IMS) and Journal of Magnesium and Alloy (JMA). During ICM8 & Mg2024, the International Magnesium Science & Technology Award (Grand Award) will be launched.
